Time Extracting

Published by Jughead under Art, photoshop

Ive spent the last couple of days trying to teach my self how to extract people from backgrounds in photoshop. Hair is very diffcult to get out of plug holes and photos…

Here is my best attempt so far, in my own defence the subject is quite tricky, I should have started on something a little easier…

Oringal photo was kindly provided by WTDPOS over at DeviantART

Yum!

I have signed up to del.icio.us. For awhile now I have been missing my bookmarks at work so I needed an online space. The firefox addon will integrate your bookmarks into the browser so no missing your point and click.

I have grouped my tags in to seven folders and now I should have bookmarks when ever I need them.

Now to integrate them here…

Food Show 2008

Published by Jughead under food

took the day off to head to the foodshow today. I suspect the recent weather didn’t help attendance and it was a little smaller than in previous years. We go on preview day to avoid the crowds and this year was great. It was nice to see some stall holders there from previous years like Goldmedal Wines who import Chillian wines like the very tasty Carmenere. As always the Hawkesbay region did themselves proud with a great showing. Other regions should get thier act togeather.

pics over there break…

What do we want from Veitch?

Published by Jughead under news

As the blanket coverage continuesabout Tony Veitch I’ve come to ask my self what do we want from him?

What he did was….well how can you put that into words… it was a terrible terrible thing (what ever I put it doesn’t sound enough)

But as the coverage continues and the outrage froths forward I have to ask my self what do we want?

Do we want punishment, rehabilitation or justice?

Top Spin! #1

Published by Jughead under Political

Here is my first installment of “Top Spin” this is where I head to www.scoop.co.nz and have a look this weeks press releases.

I had a look at the National one just now and I’m surprised we don’t hear more from them on the telly. Every day they publish 5 or 6 negative releases hopping it will get picked up by the press. The rhetoric yells at you from the page …residents screaming for relief while the government has completely lost the plot… Their approach reminds of fishing…they throw out as much bait as they can to hook a reporter and then push the rest of bait away as they run with their ‘catch of the day’
